Geocache Description:

The "In Extremis Series" is a collection of caches that we will be placing on our travels. As the name suggests, each cache will be hidden approximately 160km from our home, the furthest that Groundspeak will allow a cacher to hide a cache from home these days.

Each cache will have inside of it a clue that will need to be recorded. Once the cache series is entirely hidden, all of the clues will be able to be compiled to reveal the location of the In Extremis Mystery Cache.

This cache is not designed to be anything other than a point in a series. It is a very simple road side cache just off of a highway.

We placed this cache after a day trip walking in Gardens of Stone National Park. We also often pass by here when we go walking out this way. This road is also often traveled to access the North West of New South Wales.

The Castlereagh Highway runs for 792km between Lithgow and St George. More information on the highway can be found at (visit link) .
