In the movie "Life is Beautiful," Guido and Dora's young son Giosuy loves toy tanks. At the end he is rescued by a full size tank after his father sacrifices his own life to save that of his son.
I still watch the movie at least once a year and I recommend it to all of you for both its wonderful humor and its poignancy.
This cache is also an example of Life being Beautiful: - in the spring of 2011 the tank was removed to Fort Lewis, so the cache was archived. - a few weeks later the tank was returned to Pe Ell with a shiny new coat of paint and the cache container still in place.
The original container was a tiny tin with the word "Love" on it because that represents what the movie is all about. Unfortunately this container disappeared and has been replaced with a different one. I still hope to find a duplicate for the original.
