Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to the Northwoods Trail System in Guilford which is maintained and owned by the Guilford Land Conservation Trust. The GLCT has approved the placement of a cache in this area so we wanted to place something unique and fun. The hike is about 1.25 miles each way and the incline has some loose rock at times. The final is placed near a great view from Bluff Head. Hunting is allowed by permit so wear your blaze orange!

This cache is special to us because not only is it our first puzzle but it’s also our first hide that uses an ammo can. Furthermore we tried to maintain a theme throughout the stages which will hopefully get a few laughs.

The trails are well established but the smallest of the containers is the size of a water bottle which is why the stages are hidden far off of the trail. There is a shallow river that someone will need to cross, no need to get wet if you can balance across a large fallen tree or if it hasn't rained much.
If you begin to get the feeling that your being watched, then you might be getting close!

The final is well stocked with trade items and a special FTF prize package taped to inside of the lid. We also placed North Slope so you would have something to do on your way back to the car. Please do not post spoiler pictures of the containers, let everyone be as surprised as you hopefully are. For more information about the GLCT, specifically Bluff Head and Northwoods click here.
