Geocache Description:

A micro.

Felsted Parish is spread as thinly as Marmite: it is very rural.
It is made up of a small village centre, surrounded by 15 hamlets — thirteen 'Greens' and two 'Ends'. To find the bonus cache, you must make a tour of these hamlets and collect a letter at each location.

Thistley Green

Not much to see here. The Green (#10 on the keymap) originally covered a rather larger area to the southeast across the river, including the junction now known as ‘Leighs Lodge’, as can be seen on a huge (10 foot square) 1837 map at the Parish Council Office. A small part of the old map, covering five of the 'Greens', is reproduced below ...

Remember to collect a letter for the bonus cache in this series.

Next: 11 Priors Green

If you're finding the caches in numerical order, head SE to Leighs Lodge junction and turn right along Leez Lane, another of Felsted's 'Quiet Lanes'.
