This cache is located just off the paved walkway at the NYS fishing access site on Lower Birch Run Road in Allegany, NY. This State Developed Pond Area has a handicapped-accessible fishing dock to provide access to mitigation ponds. The 100-foot-long fishing dock, constructed of maintenance-free composite decking, is adjacent to a handicapped parking area. Fish found include carp, panfish, some northern pike and some bass. The black top walking path back between the other ponds provides individuals a view of wildlife, birds, and fish.
