AAAH! Relief! Traditional Cache
honeychile: I'm very sorry but Virginia's Department of Transportation ("VDOT") has forbidden placement of caches on property which it owns or maintains for the State. I am forced to archive listings which are placed at rest stops or other locations maintained by VDOT. Please retrieve your cache and find another hiding place well away from VDOT-maintained property. Last year Virginia DOT saw fit to close many of the rest areas
along the interstates due to fund shortages. Apparently none of
them had ever traveled long distances with a screaming child in the
back seat, or is over the age of 50. Thankfully, to the relief of
many, they've since been reopened.
This cache is a unique container which might have come in handy had
the rest area remained closed. Park at the far northern end to
access the short trail that leads you to it. The terrain rating
reflects the location on the edge of a hill, so be careful
especially at night. Please remove and replace carefully.
