Crikey! not another puzzle cache!
Should be a bit of fun, and it's not too hard, just take it one
step at a time.
Step 1
In the photos below find out how many steps each person
had climbed just prior to their photo being taken. Each location is
listed by Groundspeak as having either a Waymark or Geocache
located there. You may find various answers for D, they will all
work.
Identifying the people involved might help;
Two of the photos are of Wellingtonians,
Two of the photos are of First Ladies,
One is a star, one is a son, and one is a moon.
Step 2
Work out the location of WP1
S41 1E.F E174 4G.H
where
E = second digit of D
F= (C - 145)
G = First digit of A
H = (B -774)
Step 3
Geocheck your answer and head off to that location.
Make sure to record the values of X and Y for step 5, plus
the clue for the final.
Step 4
Count the number of steps and landings from WP1 to the top of
the steps. The total number of steps should end in the digit
'5'
For clarification;
The landings are the flat, or slightly sloping areas between the
sets of steps. Stepping from the last step on one set of steps onto
the landing is one step, and your next step to count is where you
step off the landing onto the first step of the next set of
steps.
Step 5
Work out the location of the cache
S41 1E.(no.of landings + X) E174 4G. (no. of steps +
Y)
Checksum: sum of last three digits of both S & E = 26
Step 6
Go to the final, locate the cache, and log your find!
