40-foot Glooscap Traditional Cache
skeg: I stopped by this week, and the infrastructure is changed and the cache is gone- sorry to all cachers who were led here the last while. I don't travel through here for work anymore, relinquishing the spot for someone else! Happy and safe travels, everyone.

Near a 40-foot statue of Glooscap. When my band travels around the Maritimes by bus, we often stop here for Timmy's and Big Stop. I always wished there was a geocache here, since we're through so often, so I've finally decided just to place one! It's a quick park and grab while you stretch your legs, and there are usually tractor-trailers or DND busses (!) to give you some cover while retrieving the cache.
FTF prize is $2 Tim's.
Kluskap (Glooscap) is an Abenaki word meaning "Man from nothing". Glooscap, the first human, was created out of a bolt of lightening in the sand and remains a mystical figure that appears in many of the Mi'kmaw legends. These legends are stories that are passed down from generation to generation and tell of the Mi'kmaw culture.
