Anchors Aweigh Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

BrewSleuth: This cache has always floated around too much. Quick check but I didn't see it. Brought replacement but foliage too bare to properly hide in correct spot. May replace with new cache someday.

Geocache Description:

Pill bottle with camo tape.

In the early 1900s most of occupied Key Biscayne was a coconut platation. The Hacienda Canal was used to transport plantation goods from the bay to the interior. Tropical fruits, plants, honey, and coconuts were shipped from the plantation. This small basin is a remnant of the original waterway to the interior of the island. The Key Biscayne Yacht Club occupies both sides of the basin.

This is a great sunset or hang out spot with benches. It is frequented throughout the day by nannies and care givers. Muggles drive by quickly. It is best accessed by bike or on foot. There is no parking on Harbor Drive.

Note: cache is not in an irrigation sprinkler head.
