Geocache Description:

The same year did his mentor Ejvind Hjort, who owned the first company in Denmark that designed products for disability cars wanted to sell his company to Eric and Vibber. With his interest in cars and development of products for disabled people which helped them so they could drive. Eric was not in doubt and took over the company. In the early years the product range was very small: swivel seats and various kinds of hand controls of the accelerator, brake and clutch were the options. One day the student and the mentor accepted a great challenge as one of their customers had a very special wish: footcontrol driving for disabled people. The first fodcontroled car for disabled people in Denmark was a reality and it was made by Eyvind Hjort and Eric together. The client is today driving in his fourth car for disabled persons, all customized by Langhøj. Then the provision of busses came from which Langhøj were able to develop products, so it was possible to drive sitting in an electric wheelchair. Today there may be testing with customers in the demo cars and in a showroom in order to clarify the necessary individual needs for interior design, and where there is opportunity for testing the seats and more. Today the business is run by Eric and Vibber's sons Lars and Frank, they have opened companies in Copenhagen and Aalborg in 2009 beside the headquarter in Aarhus.
