Den nuvarande stationen, ett tvåvåningshus i tegel, togs i bruk år 1879 i samband med tillkomsten av Bergslagernas Järnvägar (BJ). 1920 byggdes huset ut med bostadslägenheter. Sedan dess har endast invändiga förändringar gjorts. Stationshuset har två entréer. I stationshuset finns idag väntsal med toaletter, kafé och en biljettautomat.
English: The railway station in Kil is on Storgatan. The station has three platforms as well as a bus stop by the station entrance.
The station house was built in 1879. The house was rebuilt in 1920, and since then the only changes has been to the interior. There is a waiting room with public toilets, a cafe and a ticket machine in the station today.
