Mystery within a Mystery 1 - Humbie Road Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Deceangi: Hi ,I'm just reviewing your new cache and I notice from the OS map it appears to be in a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). I wanted to be sure you have obtained permission from the land owner/manager before placing this cache. SSSI's are areas where the owners are under a legal obligation to protect the environment. They are often reluctant to allow any activity such as geocaching without knowing exactly what's going on.

Whilst I realise these places are open to the public this doesn't necessarily mean you are allowed to leave geocaches there. I hope you understand my caution. If you can give me details of the person you approached it would be useful.

Please see http://www.follow-the-arrow.co.uk/resources/magic.html which explains how to use MAGIC-Multi Agency Geographic Information for the Countryside, which is a UK Government owned and run web site. Which allows filtering by Land Designation.

Alternatively please enter you cache coordinates into the search box on http://benchmarks.org.uk/magicmapit.php

I am temporarily disabling your cache until you can furnish me with the permission details. When you are ready for me to have another look at your cache, go to the Edit page and click on the "This cache is active" box so I will see it again.

For a list of Landowner Placement Agreements please see http://www.gagb.co.uk/gagb/glad/index.php

For a Local Guidelines please see https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/United+Kingdom

[red]Please post any queries as a Reviewer Note, and enable the cache. Failure to enable the cache, will mean I will not see it or your Reviewer Note[/red]

Many thanks,

***Everything you need to find this cache is clear on the cache page***

Humbie Road

A road that has magnificent views of Glasgow. It passes a Pollution Control Valve, that practically isn't used at all. There is a cache there named Rudolf Hess by Big Rab (GC10262). The road also passes the Bonnyton Mound or "The Devil's Plantation" and there is also a puzzle cache by the Sweeney Toddlers there named Louis Cypher and the Devil's Plantation (GC2HFNG)

To find the cache....

To find the cache you will have to work out the following:

Bought a car the other day at a garage named Ronortho55. It was only 45 minutes old! Its top speed reachs about 562mph. I headed along the W004 road with it at that speed! It was great! I eventually got stopped by the police and fined only £18 - when I told them just to have the car! LOL

Congratulations to the Sweeney Toddlers - FTF 23/10/10 :)
