Geocache Description:

Permission for the Cache has been obtained from Joel the Bait Shop owner and property manager. Please respect his request to only go after this Cache between sunrise and sunset (access to the property is secured after sunset). It is available 7 days a week. Update: 10/10/12 - Joel is no longer the bait shop owner but the new owners know about the cache and are OK with it.

This cache is hereby placed in memory of the Curse of the FTF (Hampton Roads) series. With the change/clarification of the rules, those caches are no longer allowed. This is a stop for fishermen and other tourist that just want to visit two of the beautiful lakes of Suffolk (that really belong to Portsmouth). While at this location you might see all types of birds and wildlife. Joel recently spotted a bald eagle in the surrounding trees. Although not a requirement for geocachers, Joel asks that you stop in the bait shop and say “Hi!”. He hopes you enjoy the area and stop by often as he has major improvements in mind for this location. This cache is a replacement for cache of same name (but #001) that seemed to have trouble staying put. Lost two ammo cans in a very easy location. In order to keep from losing any more ammo cans we came up with idea and Joel suggested the location. Just as a side note: There is another hide at/near this location - please see GC1VYD5 and soon will be another so check them out. You are looking for a micro but the funny thing is - it is inside another container that is a small. When you locate the small item - you should see the cache container. Just unscrew the cap - no need to remove the micro from the small. And of course - bring your own writing device. Congrats to seepaulgolf for FTF ! Yes - there was a find before it was even published to some technical problems - but seepaulgolf gets the FTF !
