Who Stole My Sandwich? Traditional Cache

This cache memorializes one of the funniest stories in the anals of our history of waking marathons through this area.
You are looking for a cameo'd pill bottle. There is a dirt road leading up to the power line right of way where you can conveniently park off the paved road. This cache is one of several I am placing along the route of the Joseph Standing Walking Marathon which is held on the last Saturday of each October. It starts and ends at the Joseph Standing Memorial (near cache GCTEBK) The walking marathon takes place in a rural area of North Georgia which is perfect for walking mile after mile, riding a bicycle or just taking a beautiful country drive. When we do the Joseph Standing Walking Marathon, we usually have food and water drops that we hide at designated points along the way. This cache is located at one we used to use (but no more). On one dark and early morn when we were doing one of our practice walks to get ready for the marathon, one of my good walking buddies used this drop site to leave a peanut butter and homemade strawberry jam sandwich he had made for himself. It was right at a mile out from the Joseph Standing Memorial, our starting point, so he was looking forward to enjoying it along the final mile of the walk when we came back. As we were about 5 miles out and all the way back, he kept talking about how good that sandwich was going to be. We started teasing him that we would not have time to stop where he had left it. We are all starving for that sandwich by the time we finally got to it. We were entertaining thoughts of fighting him for it. Well imagine his great surprise and disappointment when we arrived at this place and some critter had beaten him to it and devoured the whole sandwich.! We have talked about that famous sandwich for years afterward. So it is only fitting that this site be commenorated with this cache.
