L'Orto botanico di Padova, fondato nel 1545 su un terreno dei Monaci Benedettini di Santa Giustina, è il più antico Orto botanico universitario del mondo tuttora esistente. Fu istituito, su delibera del Senato della Repubblica Veneta, per la coltivazione delle piante medicinali, che allora costituivano la grande maggioranza dei "semplici", cioè di quei medicamenti che provenivano direttamente dalla natura.

State attenti a numerosi muggles nella zona ed al mimetismo. Non fatevi vedere. Portatevi una penna per il Logbook!
