Geocache Description:

This cache is one of two for troop 344 of the Boy Scouts of America's Northern Trails District. It contains a hint for one of the 12 points of the Boy Scout Law. Eventually, all 12 points should be available in caches that highlight Eagle projects throughout the District. One would need to know which point of The Boy Scout Law corresponds with each Cache to Eagle # in order to prove they'd been to all 12. A bookmark list to find the others as they become available can be viewed by clicking on the bookmark list to your right.

A thriving sawmill used to occupy this site on Lake Superior's shore. The silty lake bottom here is the product of millions of logs being transported and processed. Stand on the dock and "pier" back at what this location has become.

West End Park is the site of two recent Eagle projects. In 2009, one Scout re-did the sign posts and site numbers in the campground. In 2010, another Scout constructed the purple martin nesting colony box visible to the East.
