Geocache Description:

This is a very easy cache, my first hide, along with my mum and wife.

The Karapiro walkway was completed early october 2010 and has been operational since the 17th of october. It was opened by with the help of celebrities and locals alike.

The walkway is primarily for use in commuting between cambridge and lake karapiro taking people right into the hora hora domain.

The path will eventually hook on to the waikato cycle path that runs alongside the waikato river and will span 150km.
