The cache is in Riverside Natural Area, Morenci's wild park.
The cache is next to a really fine hackberry tree. It's no champion, but it's probably the biggest hackberry you'll come across. The hackberry (Celtis occidentalis) has an unusual corky bark, although it's often not so noticeable on a large trunk like the one you're finding here. When the leaves are gone, you can see the "witch's broom" clusters in the branches produced by a powdery mildew. If you visit in the fall, you might see the unusual seeds - drupes hanging from peduncles.
Warning: This is an area of nettles and poison ivy in warm months.
