Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates. This is a night cache. There is a code in the logbook you should write down.

Due to foliage and overgrowth obscuring the reflectors, I suggest you wait until the winter to do this cache .

When we're not caching, Max and I often play chess to pass the time. He says he learned to play in the pound, but he didn't learn to wipe the slobber off his pieces. Max always plays black, it's in his breed. Below is the result of our latest game. I can't believe I lost to a dog. Remember, when noting the pieces, you are looking at the board from white's side.

Just to clarify, my remaining pieces were Queen's Knight, King's Bishop's Pawn, Queen's Bishop, King's Rook, and King.

Max had King's Knight, King's Pawn, King, King's Bishop, and Queen's Rook.

The trail is marked with deer tacks.

**ATTENTION**

The reflective tacks will lead you to a large tree. Part of it has fallen over and someone has made a campfire ring out of it. This was the original hiding spot. From the base of the fallen tree, project 180ft and 336°. The cache is under a rotten tree. After you find the container, go back to the fallen tree and pick up the trail to SF16
