Geocache Description:

Cache is on a trail along the waterfront of lake erie.Trailhead is close to gates at john r park homestead.Parking is at the gates of the park.
Room for travelers and trading.
Have fun and enjoy the walk .let us know what you think in you logs

This is my first placed geocache and was thought about and looked at for a long time.Located in the John R.Park homestead conservation area .Do not try to atempt from any other direction because there is a small creek running between the road and the park .park at the gates.
Born in massachusetts,John R. Park emigrated to upper canada in 1820's with his older brother Thomas. They bought the land in 1833 and farmed on this 114 acre lot.Today the essex conservation authority operates the homestead where lessons in conservation for the future are learned by exploring the past.
There are many special events during the year.
The grounds are open from dawn to dusk every day.please respect this .dont worry about the closed gates ,walk around them .
