Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Cache should not be too difficult to find, but is located in a very-high-muggle-traffic area, I suggest using your vehicle as a muggle-sight-sheild (I'm sure you know what I mean) when you approach GZ.
Apparently is NOT winter-accessible, once it gets deep into the season and a good amount of snow has fallen.
Listed coordinates were verified with several different devices, so they should be very accurate.
Cache is a small clear plastic box (about the size of 1/2 shoebox).
The cache contains a log book (of course). Mechanical pencil is included for signing. Please keep the log entries neat and orderly.
The point of this cache is not only the finding of it, which is really not too hard to do, it's relatively easy to find... but the real fun is that there is an optional activity to do once you do find it! (OPTIONAL)
* Please note: there is a letterbox cache very near to this one. Once I realized it was here, I looked up the web-page for the letterbox cache, and to my surprise their instructions for finding it point to the exact location where my geocache is hidden. I'm not sure why that is, particularly because it is currently not located at the hiding spot for my geocache. My geocache here was hidden two years prior to the letterbox being placed nearby. I am trying to contact the owner of the letterbox, to figure out what's up. In the meantime, please be careful not to confuse the two caches.
This Hi Score geocache is located on the property of a business, a place that I grew up with and is very special to me, so it only felt natural for me to hide a cache here. Yes, I understand the GeoCaching rules about "commercial" caches, and I AM abiding by them with this cache. The point of this location is that it is special to me personally, and I am not trying to advertise or promote their business with this cache. I do have the business owner's permission to hide it there... I have known the owner for a very long time. I had to describe to them what GeoCaching actually was, and after explaining it, they were quite fascinated and thought it was neat and happily granted permission to hide it there. If you want to participate in the fun optional activity, I suggest hunting for this cache during their business hours.
I do hope you enjoy the activity once you find the cache, and I encourage all the finders of this cache to participate... it will make it all the more fun for everyone, but it is not required in any way to enjoy the cache or sign the log book. I have plans to host a separate website that will display the results of the activity for everyone to see (after you've completed it), but I can't give you an ETA of exactly when that part will be done. For now I just wanted to get the cache going, and progress with more fun stuff soon.
Please do not spoil this hunt for anyone else by listing information about the location or the activity in your website log posts. You are allowed to list one particular piece of data (as outlined in the instructions in the logbook) provided that you don't qualify that information with anything that would give away the secret.
(are your overly intrigued now?) Good, then go out and find it, and have a fun time!
There is a very nice First-to-Find gift in this cache... I hope you enjoy it.
By the way, this is my very first GeoCache hide, and I want to thank my GeoCaching partner, NHPunchie, for introducing me to this fun hobby; we can almost always be found out hunting together: NHPunchie and PandaBearGamer. We have particular standards for trade items; we insist on leaving only "cool stuff". We rarely take trade items, and usually only leave neat fun stuff for other people to enjoy. For this particular cache, I'd like to ask the same in return. I hate to insult other folks kind trade items, but I think you can do better than: marbles, erasers, stickers, acorns (c'mon), and one time we even found a cache with a smelly slimy half a clam shell in it (seriously... gross). I know... it's not really about the goodies, but the fun of the hunt, and the reward is just finding the cache itself. But be honest... who doesn't like to find neat goodies in the caches!
