Geocache Description:

A bit of cache and dash.

Located near the Heads of the Valleys road.

This is another of those modern "art" sculptures  This cache can be accessed quite easily by wheelchair users but may need someone’s help to reach the cache.
Care needs to be taken crossing busy roads. It's very near the road so one should supervise children when searching for this cache.
It looks like a chimney which has somehow collapsed in a "twisted heap" the £180,000 sculpture, entitled Twisted Chimney, the hand-carved steel sculpture frames a view of the surrounding valley.

Simnai Dirdro (Twisted Chimney) by Brian Tolle is located near the village of Butetown, just off the A465 near Rhymney, Caerphilly county.

The sculpture is 16 metres in length and twists eight metres into the air,it represents a former ironworks chimney that once stood in the Rhymney Valley.

The cache is located next to the footpath that gives this view ->

This is similar to a film canister but waterproof if you do it up properly. Please replace carefully.
