Dieser Cache führt Dich an einen der schönsten Orte in der Lobau - den Josefsteg. Parkmöglichkeit am Ende der Luitpolt Stern Gasse gegeben. Dort gibt es mit dem "Knusperhaus" auch eine nette Einkehr (ca. März bis September Wochenends und abends geöffnet) ENGLISH: This cache guides you to one of the most scenic places in the "Lobau" - the "Josefsteg" - bridge. You can park at the end of Luitpolt Sterngasse. There is also a nice restaurant called "Knusperhaus (open march-september weekends)
Im Dezember 2001 wurde der Josefsteg eröffnet - eine Voraussetzung dafür, dass auch nach Anhebung des Wasserspiegels der Fasangartenarm überquert werden kann. Der Holzsteg hat eine Länge von 145 Metern und wurde vom österr. Bundesheer (Pionierbataillon 3 in Melk) innerhalb von 5 Wochen errichtet. ENGLISH: The "Josefsteg" was built in december 2001. It was necessarry for crossing the "Fasangartenarm" after rising its water level. It is 145m in length an was built by the Austrian army ("Pionierbataillon 3").
