Friendly, Shaun is a 29-year-old salesman whose life has no direction. His younger
off-beat colleagues at work show him no respect and he has a rocky relationship with his
unfriendly stepfather, Phillip. He also has a tense relationship with his housemate, Pete because of
riffraff like Ed, Shaun's crude best friend who lives on their couch.

Elizabeth, his girlfriend , is unsatisfied with their social life, because it consists primarily of
inactive evenings at the Winchester, Shaun's favorite pub, as well as the fact that they
genuinely never do anything alone together - Shaun always brings Ed and
hassles Liz to bring her flatmates, David and Dianne.
Tired, Liz breaks up with Shaun when he fails to book a table at a restaurant for their anniversary.

Forlorn, Shaun drowns his sorrows with Ed at the Winchester Tavern until they return home
inebriated, only to have Pete confront them. Pete, suffering a headache after recently being
viciously mugged and bitten by "some crackheads".
Enraged, Peter berates Shaun and tells him to sort his life out.

Early the next morning, Shaun resolves to make right. This revelation comes at the same time as an
immense uprising of zombies, although Shaun is too hungover to notice at first.
Groggy, Shawn and Ed finally realize what is happening after watching reports on TV and several
hundred zombies appear in the local area. The duo then notice an odd woman in the back garden.
Teasing her about being smashed, they then realize she in a Zombie

Now, Shaun and Ed arm themselves with weapons from the shed. They venture out
in pursuit of Shaun's mother, Barbara, and Phillip, and Liz and her flatmates.
Nearly they escape from their flat upon finding Pete is still in the house and is a flesh
eating zombie.

The hungover duo then rescue of Barbara, Phillip, Liz, David and Dianne. On the
way to the Winchester, Phillip dies of a Zombie bite. Discovering that the path is
over-run with zombies, they devise a plan to sneak by, pretending to be zombies.

Getting into an argument in front of the zombies, after watching the commotion,
openly realize they are not dead and approach. David smashes the window with an
old dustbin and, while Shaun distracts the zombies, everyone takes refuge
deep inside the pub. Shaun joins them after giving the zombies the slip.

Lately there has been many Zombie movies but this movie shows the funny,
underexposed side of the Zombie culture with a brilliant British twist. Simon Peg is a
comedian who also wrote and starred in a BBC series called Spaced which is also
keen on Zombies. After Shawn of the Dead, Simon wrote Hot Fuzz and Run Fatboy Run.
