Geocache Description:

What Lies With-in'
Geologically Speaking

Welcome to the cave !

But
wait, is this really a cave ?

A cave or cavern is defined as a natural
underground space large enough for a human to enter.
Some people suggest
that the term cave should only apply to natural cavities some part
of
which is in total darkness; however, in popular usage, the term includes smaller
spaces like sea caves, rock shelters, and grottos.

Given this definition,
I would indeed call this a cave, but for you nay-sayers, walk in
20 feet and
turn left.

For the rest of you , whom may not be comfortable
with
small, dark, cramped spaces
to count a find on this Earth Cache you only have
to stay in the main area.

Caves are generally classified into there 5
categories

Solutional caves
As these caves are formed by
soluble rocks, they are called as solutional caves. Soluble rocks are chalk,
marble, gypsum and limestone.
Lava caves
These caves are formed through volcanic activity, and are
the most common primary caves.
Sea caves
As the name suggests, sea caves are found along the coasts
all over the world. They may be around 5 m - 50 m in length.
Corrasional caves
Caves formed
entirely by erosion through flowing streams, that carry rock and other sediments
are called as corrasional caves.
Glacier caves
Glacier caves occur in ice, and are
formed under the glaciers by melting. They are also referred to as ice
caves.

There is white stuff in places on the ceiling that looks like frost.
What is it?
You may have to enter the small, dark, cramped cave to find some.

I always welcome and encourage Pictures at all my Earth Caches
But due to privacy issues, this is also optional.

**You may need rubber boots and a tape measure.**
It's about 1.1 Km's from Trail-head to cave.

Please be gentle with what Mother
Nature has given us.
If we break it, she can't fix it.
Please do not, move. damage or take any rocks.
