Geocache Description:

A series of caches in honor of some of the greatest men in American history. You’ll need to find the John Adams, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson caches to be able to locate and access Ben Franklin’s Treasure. The entire series can be completed in about 1-2 hours. Bring a pen or pencil and paper to record the necessary info. If any of the information markers (under the cover) should go missing or become difficult to read please let me know so I can repair it.

Parking is on Highland Road accross the street from the Tiverton Town Hall.

Thomas Jefferson (April 13, 1743 – July 4, 1826) was the third President of the United States (1801–1809) and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence (1776). Jefferson was one of the most influential Founding Fathers. He envisioned America as the force behind a great Empire of Liberty that would promote republicanism and counter the imperialism of the British Empire. Jefferson served as the wartime Governor of Virginia (1779–1781), first United States Secretary of State (1789–1793), and second Vice President of the United States (1797–1801).

A polymath, Jefferson achieved distinction as, among other things, a horticulturist, political leader, architect, archaeologist, paleontologist, musician, inventor, and founder of the University of Virginia. When President John F. Kennedy welcomed 49 Nobel Prize winners to the White House in 1962 he said, "I think this is the most extraordinary collection of talent and of human knowledge that has ever been gathered together at the White House – with the possible exception of when Thomas Jefferson dined alone."

Take the red trail in then take a left onto the blue trail to find John Adams. Continue on the blue trail until it meets the red trail again, turn left onto the red trail and continue on until you come to the blue trail on your left near a large boulder. The trail is easy to miss so keep an eye out. Take this blue trail to find George Washington. Continue down the blue trail until it intersects with the red trail. Take a left onto the red trail and continue on to find Thomas Jefferson. Continue down the red trail again to find Ben Franklin’s Treasure.

Be careful the rocks can be very slippery.

Due to the feedback I've been getting from the logs I just want to clarify that the listed coordinates were taken at the cache location. I had about 10 feet accuracy when I made the hide.
