What's outside the dome? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

oomJara: I don't get out this way much any more. I went by recently and the cache was gone. Archiving now to free up the space for someone else.

Geocache Description:

Micro (black film canister type container) within sight of the PG&E dome. The dome has been a San Ramon landmark since it opened in 1973.

Congratulations to Nytshaed & Sadge for FTF!

Increased the difficulty level to 2 stars based on feedback. This is not a drive up. You will have to find parking and then cross Crow Canyon which is a busy road during daylight hours.

The dome is actually a giant testing chamber, standing about 85 feet tall and about 94 feet in diameter. It is primarily used to test electrical components under environmentally (temperature and humidity) controlled conditions at high Voltages, up to 700,000 Volts.
