The
Odessa Reservoir
I grew up just south of the Odessa
reservoir and it provided our family with water for many years. We
had a 1200 gallon cistern and every two weeks the water delivery
truck would come by to fill it. The reservoir no longer provides
water to the community but it is still a place for recreation and
gathering. When I hid the cache there were only two fishermen out
and it was a very peaceful fall day. You're looking for a well
stocked ammo can hidden near the water. A few feet of bushwhacking
will be necessary. Careful of thorns nearby and be warned, the road
around the lake can be rough during the winter or very wet
weather.
There are several roads that lead to
the reservoir but only the entry at the west side has an open gate
so I'm providing coordinates for that entry.
