Enjoy this Trailhead or End of the Trail (depending on which direction you are walking on the Katy Trail) and all that this small City Park AND State Park has to offer. This part of the trail is the last section of the trail and it connects Clinton and Windsor. The park attracts visitors, walkers, bikers, and families with children.
I have watched children playing and riding bikes in this park. I have also seen them on the caboose w/o any supervision. However, they have put deterrents in place to block entry on the caboose. So for your safety and for your children's safety AND so that no damage is done to the caboose, please do not climb on the train.
* 09/18/11 Recently, landscaping was added by local volunteers who used railroad ties as boxes for plants. They also added gravel paths alongside the train. SO, AS ALWAYS, PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE AREA. They have done a wonderful job with this area and the improvement is a visual delight!
To access this cache, there is no need to go on or under this train.
You are looking for a magnetic key holder with a strong pull. Do not read the hint unless you want to make this cache an easy P&G because it is very specific. BYOP
Restrooms are closed between Nov. 1st and March 31st and water is turned off during that time as well. However, the Clinton Community Center is just across the road and has facilities, if needed.
