Clip-lock container with swaps related to the theme. Hidden at roadside in Gold Coast hinterland.
The Hinze Dam has been closed to the public for major earthworks. This cache celebrates earth moving equipment and those who operate the big diggers.
The road is named after a well known pioneer family in the district. Gilston was built on Timber and Dairying. This area still has a rural feel. I have placed several caches to bring you down Gilston Road.
You should have no trouble pulling over near the cache. There is some large tree root debris in the area near the cache but you do not need to go near it. Stay away because there is barbed wire mixed up with the tree roots. The cache is not hidden near there.
While you examine the cache contents you may be able to hear the crash and roar of the earthmoving equipment operating at the dam site. Watch out for rocks, holes in the ground, and mosquitoes.
Take a little truck to play with.
