A cache that is a little bit different but not too difficult hidden on the beautiful Illawarra escarpment. Big enough for small swaps and coins.
Track starts and parking at S34 19.958 E 150 53.930.
Have a swing along the track if you dare.
Enjoy the bush.
Happy Caching.
The Illawarra escarpment has a multitude of wonderful and diverse landscapes along its length. Sub tropical rainforest, cabbage tree groves, and riparian rainforest along babbling creeks, eucalypt forest and open areas of grass and fern.
These are home to an even greater variety of birds, animals, fish and reptiles all doing their best to live in harmony. This cache is set just off a small track that cuts between some of the more elevated streets of Bulli and Woonona and is best accessed from the parking co-ords supplied.
You will see plenty of the native birds, wrens, honey eaters, parrots, whip birds, native pigeons and currawongs if you go by day. If you go by night you could see brushtail possums, ringtail possums, feathertail gliders, bandicoots and echidnas at anytime.
Yabbies in the creeks and eastern water dragons and snakes on the banks the place is abundant in wildlife if you just look around and search quietly
So keep your eyes open you never know just what you might see.
Never saw a leech in the several times I went and checked for this position but apparently they are about.
Suggest you spray Aerogard all over your shoes and lower garments and extremities. This will usually keep the little buggers at bay.
Happy caching.
