Geocache Description:

Short Multi-Cache with one question to answer. The final cache is a 0.5 Ltr clip top tub with logbook, pencil, sharpener and room for a few small swaps.
The listed co-ordinates are where you will find the answers to the equation.

Cache which either draws you through, or into the beautiful old fishing harbour and village of Polperro. I wanted to place this cache here to let others enjoy the sights and sounds of this village that I used to visit as a child with my parents, and now my own family come here at least twice a year.

The Net Loft on Peak Rock, has stood for many years and has had a varied number of uses. One of the more unusual uses was for the construction of a boat. Not unusual you may think, but, the boat builder was a Mr Richard (Dick) Courtis who was an "Electrician", and his designs were enlarged copies from a magazine.

The Loft itself was not the ideal place to carry out this task, as you will see from its location for access down to the sea. Lighting was supplied by oil lamps, and the doors needed to be widened for the launch on Monday6th September 1971 after over 2 years in the building. It was named the "Timothy Phillip" after his 2 grandchildren and left Polperro in 1998 to go to its new home in Liverpool.

The Net Loft itself, is now owned and maintained by The National Trust. You can walk down to the Loft along the footpath.
The final cache is placed on National Trust land with the very kind permission of Mr A Simmonds of the Polperro NT. For information on the NT, the work they do and benfits they offer, please visit: (visit link)

To get to the final cache you will need to complete the following equation, the answers for which are to be found at the listed co-ordinates:
Lt H.Winfred Holt was Killed in Action aged....AB.
The year of his death was...CDEF

Final cache is located approx 100 yds away at:

N50 19.(A+B+E) (AxF) (F+A)
W004 31.(B-F) (B+C) (D-E)

There are numerous steep slopes/steps to get to both the waypoint and the final cache. It finishes out on one of the Coastal Footpaths and therefore, it is not suitable for wheelchair access nor strollers. En-route to both the waypoint and the cache, please keep children close by and the path does get muddy following rain. No vehicle access is possible.

Huge thanks to Mike of The Molinnis Crew for agreeing to look after the cache in my absences. Without his help this cache could not have been published.
