BYOP!! Small Lock 'n Lock located along Dilltown-Blacklick section of the Ghost Town Trail. Please note that the trail itself is a 1 terrain but the hide is NOT wheelchair accessible (hence the rating.) Only the last 5-10 feet or so are off trail, but be careful! If you use the hint(s), you will find the cache much faster. Unfortunately, the area where the cache is hidden must have poor reception as cachers are having trouble finding it, so use the hints or be ready to search!
The Ghost Town Trail is a beautiful trail connecting Ebensburg and Blacklick. This span is 32 miles, with a small branch (Rexis) adding 4 to make 36 total miles in the trail system. The trail is designated by the US National Park Service as a National Recreation Trail.
The path is named for the various "Ghost Towns" along the railroad. Most of these are long gone, and the remaining towns have changed a lot since the railroad came through here. The trail is open to walking, biking and cross country skiing. Dogs are allowed. Most of the trail, including the section that you will be walking to get to this cache, is totally level and surfaced with hard-packed limestone dust making it stroller friendly . A sign at the gate cautions users to wear orange during hunting season and so I will do the same. The trail is closed after dusk, so please be respectful and cache during the day (you'll want to anyway, there's some beautiful scenery here!)
