"A group of Garden Home neighbors in Southwest Portland recently
completed construction of a new bus shelter on Line 45,
built to resemble a traditional Swedish bus stop. Inspiration came
from Ross Fogelquist, owner of the historic Fogelbo House on SW
Oleson Road and from adjacent land that will house the future
Scandinavian Heritage Foundation's Scandinavian American Cultural
and Community Center. Neighbors worked in partnership with
volunteer gardeners, TriMet and the Washington County Operations
Division. The new shelter is used by school children waiting for
the school bus and by TriMet riders."
