Geocache Description:

A wide spot in the road at the junction of U.S. Route 395 and Hwy 17. Easy access from any direction. Do not attempt from the freeway -- dangerous and illegal.

This is a spot where trucks and travelers often park for a rest or rendevous. Kind of a non rest-stop rest-stop. CITO opportunities abound.

A lot of people don't know it but U.S. Route 395 extends from the Canadian border down to Spokane, on SW through Tri-Cities into eastern Oregon. Then through northern CA with a side blip into Reno, back into CA and then on down S to near San Bernadino. It used to go all the way from Canada to San Diego. The drive through E. OR and NE CA is remote but beautiful, and . . . . very few trucks.

Anyway, highway trivia aside, a little walk S into the sagebrush at this wide spot brings you to a camo'd plastic jar under - - - - guess what?

A few motorists may honk at you as they zip by at 70 mph but the cache is well removed from the highway.

Travel Bugs welcome! Big enough for small or medium sized TB's.

Please recap tightly to keep moisture out. Leave the cache standing up, not laying on its side, por favour.

Good luck, have fun, swap evenly. Used golf balls not allowed. That is all.
