Sideling Hill Rest Area/Scenic Overlook
The overlook offers superb views of the surrounding areas. Views of all three states, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia can be seen from through out.
A passenger walk bridge is provided from the Rest Area on the Eastbound side above the Interstate to the Rest Area on Westbound side. This will allow for cache finding in either direction.
While here there take a great view of the rock cut which you can ascend via a walkway along the Westbound slope for a better view. There are also Fantastic views of I-68. You’ll locate this Rest Area and Scenic Overlook at Milepost 74.
This Regular sized cache you seek is hidden in the Rest Area along the Eastbound Side but accessible from either direction via the walk bridge.
To comply with the minimum distance requirements from the “Resting Micro cache” this cache will require a short hike to reach this secluded cache location.
Terrain can be rocky and filled with scrub brush and briars or wooded depending on the Route in which you take to the cache.
Stealth should be minimal at the GZ and will allow for some great views and allow some time to go through the swag or make trackable exchanges.
Plenty of Parking available, RV and Big Rig accessible as well.
