Geocache Description:

Next in my phobia series.

Ophidiophobia or ophiophobia is a particular type of specific phobia, the abnormal fear of snakes. The word comes from the Greek words "ophis" which refers to snakes and "phobia" (meaning fear).

I have found several types of snakes while geocaching, often by suprise. This well protected cache will take you a very real, very snake friendly habitat. Use caution when searching for this cache.

Look before you reach.

The cache is protected by several "guardians". They are not the cache but a clue that you are very close to it. The cache itself is a 3" x 5" cylinder container that used to contain peanut brittle. You remember those peanut brittle cans, don't you? 😉
Have a seat on a rock, open and enjoy.

Please replace exactly as found and don't spoil the "surprise" in your logs.

6/1/11 - Updated hint due to many DNF's.
8/23/20 - Updated hint due to changing conditions.
