Geocache Description:

The cache is placed in Kren, north of Hazen, ND. You are looking for an ammo can in a ghost town. Take the trail to the west of the county road and park near the St. James Luthern Krem Cemetery. In wet weather park on the approach and walk in. This is private land so don't drive on the grass.

Krem ND was established in 1888 and was settled by German from Russia imagrants. It became the largest town in Mercer County. Krem had two general stores, a flour mill, postoffice,drug store, bank, pool hall,hardwre store and news paper. When the railroad passed south of town buiness moved to Hazen and Krem became a ghost town. There are two cemeteries. Take time to look around and read some names. You might find some family.
