We are amateur genealogists as well as geocachers. Our research has taken us to many interesting cemeteries. We have enjoyed the cemetery caches put out by others and decided we would take you to cemeteries where some of our ancestors are buried. Because these cemeteries are connected to our own family tree we thought BRANCHES would be a fitting name for this series.
Elma Centre Cemetery
This cemetery which dates from the 1860’s serves the residents of the central part the Township of Elma including the village of Atwood. The east side of the cemetery is the oldest section and contains tombstones of early settlers of the area.
The cache is a very small camoed lock and lock containing only a log.
