Geocache Description:

The Lord of the Rings series inspired the creation of this multi-cache. In addition, my (then 12-years-old) daughter’s insistence helped with the motivation. As we know, the hobbits needed help in their quest. In this case, gathering help from Gimli and Legolas. The initial coord is Gimli in a mini mountain and Legolas in his element. After collecting the help, you should be able to find the hobbits. The Hobbits are at: N 38° 25.Gimli W 090° 23. Legolas.

As fate would have it, Strider was the FTF and collected a geocoin that has a quest of its own and a wooden pen that I made. The pen is to help sign all those micro caches!! . The waypoint caches are plastic medicine bottles with Camo tape with the clue inside. The final cache is a medium size plastic cache container purchased from Groundspeak. Please carefully replace all containers back where you found them. I will occasionally place other trackables in the cache and possibly a few more pens. I originally had three waypoints before the final, now there are just two. I think you should be able to find the Hobbits in a short time frame. All of this multi-cache is in Arnold’s Ferd Lang Park and the closest parking is at the back of the park. Park is open from sunrise to sunset, It would be helpful if you at saw the movie or read the books. Hope you have fun. The following poem might help:

Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
