Tott 1 - Confluence. Traditional Cache

Lupus Lupus: Out on a maintenance trip today on a rather neglected section of our caches. We decided to Archive them instead so plastic recovered from numbers 2 3 and 4 but failed at number 1 which was missing – we drew the line at persuing it down to Weston Super Mare as it has probably been washed away. With these last TOTT caches being archived we also recovered “Historical Worcester”, which has been in existence for 15 years, as it would have been left rather out on a limb, in terms of our maintenance routes. Thanks to all who visited and apologies for any DNF's at TOTT 1.

Geocache Description:

Ten on the Teme No. 1 - Confluence. Some parts of this walk can be very muddy -Boots or Wellies advised. All caches are a safe distance from the river but usual Child warnings apply.

A series of caches along the Teme was a project I had contemplated for a while now. It wasn't til Butttercup logged my caches along the section of the Severn from old road bridge to new pedestrian bridge that the project was re-lit. Butttercup coined the phrase "7 on the Severn" in her logs. Mmmm! why not "10 on the Teme". I negotiated the intellectual rights from Butttercup and with her blessing here we go. Because the Teme doesn't have a complete towpath I think these are best attacked upstream from the layby on the A4103 near the Fox at Bransford and from the car park on the western end of the Old Teme bridge (off the A449/A4440 roundabout)CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE!! A muddy start to this section but a fairly good path. Start (End) of the Teme where it enters the Severn. At the confluence of these rivers is not a good place to locate a cache. I'm hoping that it won't get washed away. A certain amount of compromise in this placement! Will be inaccessible during floods.
