Naturreservatet Hedvallen är sedan lång tid tillbaks sommarviste och kalvmärkningsplats för Östra Kikkejaurs sameby och ligger mitt i en ståtlig gammelskog. Kåtorna och rengärdena ligger vackert belägget mitt mellan tre tjärnar. Området ger en bra bild om hur samerna bodde i början av 1800-talet och det är en stämningsfull känsla att ströva i tystnad bland de mäktiga träden och de grånade kåtorna.
English:
Nature Reserve Hedvallen is since a long time a summer camp and calf marking spot for Östra Kikkejaur sameby and is located in a impressive old forest. The wooden tents and rengärdena are beautifully located between three lakes. The area provides a good picture of how the Sami lived in the early 1800s and it is a cozy feeling to walk in silence among the mighty trees and the grizzled huts.
