Welcome to the New Ski Jump Cache. There are two reasons to call this the New Ski Jump Cache. There used to be another cache near here -- the Ski Jump Cache (GCVK9F). And the ski jump has been rebuilt -- it's a brand new jump.
You will be looking for an ammo can in a non-winter-friendly location, within sight of the new ski jump. The terrain is steep in the area, so use caution in slippery weather.
The closest parking would be on Cedar Street, across from the ski jump at N42 51.577 W072 34.047.
The easiest, most direct route might be the steps. I thought it interesting that the metal steps are numbered, all 187 of them, but the landings are not. Nine out of ten of the landings are numbered, so there are really 196 metal steps. Anyway, those steps will get you close to the proper elevation -- there's no need to climb up the steps higher than here. You can also take trails around to the side or top of the hill to avoid the steps.
