Geocache Description:

Gömma där tidigare radiofyr för Bromma Flygplats stått

Denna geocache har utsikt över Ulvsundaviken och bygget av Tvärbanan. Cachen var först tänkt att placeras vid en av inflygningshjälpmedlena till Bromma Flygplats, en flygfyr benämnd "Middle Marker", för bana 30. Det var bara det att när jag skulle kolla upp den slutliga platsen för gömman och mäta upp den, så hade de monterad ner denna flygfyr. Endast betongfundamentet till antennen är kvar. Av någon anledning har Middle Marker och Outer Marker tagits bort från bana 30. De finns kvar på bana 12 (den från andra hållet) Så det fick bli en gömma strax intill som fick visa lite utsikt istället.

This Geocache has a view over the Bay of Ulvsunda and the ongoing construction of the tramway Tvärbanan. This cache was originally intended to be placed near one of the radio beacons named "Middle Marker" belonging to the ILS system of runway 30 at Bromma Airport. However, when I was about to check out the hiding place for the cache and get a fix on the location, they had removed the radio beacon, and only the concrete base for the antenna remains. For some reason both the Middle and Outer Marker has been removed for runway 30. They are still active on runway 12 though. So, I had to find a hiding place near to the original spot, that showed some "scenic" views instead.
