Lamb Spring Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
Lenny Lamb lives in Utah and could not get this published, so his uncle will place it under his name. Lenny and I went out on 11/02/2010 and checked it out. The cache is there and the pen still works! High clearance recommended for this road.
The cache is a white painted ammo box.. It was placed 5 years ago by Lenny Lamb. Lamb Spring was discovered and developed by Lenny's father during the years (1955-1971). He held the grazing permit on about 40 sections of USFS land including this location. The Forest Service named the spring in his favor. The trickle of water from the spring was piped to a trough to collect. This provided daily water for several head of cattle, enabling them to benefit from the feed in the surrounding area. The pipeing has sence fallen into disrepair, but water still drips from the broken pipe.
