Hyytiälän metsäasema on Helsingin yliopiston Maatalous-metsätieteellisen tiedekunnan Metsätieteiden laitokseen kuuluva yksikkö, jonka tarkoitus on mahdollistaa metsäylioppilaiden kenttäkurssitoiminta sekä tieteellinen tutkimus kenttäoloissa.
Aseman toiminta alkoi 1910. Rakennukset valmistuivat kahtena seuraavana vuonna. Kätkö on aseman pihapiirissä. Henkilökunta tietää kätköstä ja sillä on aseman johtajan lupa. Koordinaatit näyttävät hiukan sivuun kätköltä, mutta paikan päällä arvaat kyllä heti, missä kätkö on. Se EI kuitenkaan ole puussa tai pensaassa tai missään kasvavassa kohteessa. Kätköllä käymiseen kannattaa varata aikaa, koska aseman idylliseen pihapiiriin voi rauhassa tutustua ja siellä on näkemisen arvoisia yksityiskohtia kuten esim. kauniit veistetyt opastaulut ja vanha vellikello. Alueen puilla ja pensailla on nimikyltit. Myös rantamaisema on lepuuttava. Huomaathan, että auto on jätettävä aseman P-paikalle.

Hyytiälä Forestry Field Station is a unit of the Department of Forest Sciences at the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry in the University of Helsinki. Its mission is to enable forestry teaching and research in the field conditions.
The activity at the station started in 1910. The houses were built during the following two years. The cache lies within the station milieu. The staff of the station know about the cache and it has been permitted by the head of the station. The coordinates take you a bit aside, but once there, you will guess immediately where the cache is. However, it is NOT in a tree or a bush or any other growing target. It is highly recommended to take some time to take a look at the milieu, because there are details worth looking at, e.g. beautiful information boards carved in wood and the old dinner bell. Trees and bushes are provided with their names. Also the scene over the lake is relaxing. Please, remember that you have to leave your car in the parking lot.
