A memorial to veterans. Offer a prayer for the loss of the troubled spirit of a disabled veteran that committed suicide here in 2008 on Veteran's Day weekend.

CONGRATULATIONS Levi1961 FTF!
It was two years ago one Sunday afternoon, when I went fishing. Seeing another vehicle parked at this spot, I walked the opposite direction and went upstream to fish. As the sun began to set, I noticed there had been no change in the car or the person sitting nearby in a chair. Trying to get the person's attention and getting no response, I discovered the tragedy that had occurred.
The details of who he was are unknown, as he was not from the area. The fact he died on Veteran's Day weekend, and was an amputee, may be coincidence, but seemed likely he was a DAV.

Please do not cross the fence as it is private property owned by Philmont Scout Ranch.
