This trail is not used much. Great for caching. Today I actually saw a small group of folks walking.
I know it's not the best container so please be careful and make sure it's put back hidden.
The Delta de Anza Regional Trail is a great paved trail where you can walk, bike, or ride a horse. There is a slight elevation gain (and drop) along the path. There are 2 ways to access the cache. The cache is not accessible from Highway 4 or from the church.
Curfew: Trail is closed from 10pm to 5AM.
Parking: I park in front of the trail-head on Willow Pass Road but there should be parking on the other side of the trail as well on San Marco Blvd/Evorna Rd.
About The Trail:
This trail is named to commemorate the route taken by Spanish explorer Juan Bautista de Anza during his 18th-century expedition into the Delta region of today's East Contra Costa County.
The paved, multi-use hiking, bicycling and equestrian trail currently spans over 15 miles of the planned 25-mile length. When completed, it will generally follow the East Bay Municipal Utility District's corridor and the Contra Costa Water District's canal. It connects the cities of Concord, Bay Point, Pittsburg, Antioch and Oakley and provides access to Contra Loma Regional Park (and Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve) through Antioch Community Park.
