Eriksholmen is the smallest inhabited island of the Sjernarøyane archipelago, but has an important role as a meeting point for locals of Sjernarøyane as well as for visitors. There is a grocery store and a marina popular for those exploring Ryfylke by boat. Quite a busy spot on summer weekend, it is still a pearl, albeit peaceful and quiet during the winter.
Apart from being accessible by boat, you can also get here by car, or by a very beautiful bicycle ride. Catch a car ferry from Judaberg on Finnøy and get off at Helgøy, or put your bike on a fast passenger ferry leaving Stavanger several times a day.
The cache is a small to medium size plastic box containing a few trinkets for the kids.
