Geocache Description:


WHERE: Hawk Woods Nature Center 3799 Bald Mtn. Rd, Auburn Hills MI

WHAT:Geocaching 101 + Potluck! Join us for an hour long session on what Geocaching is. After we will be searching for different caches that will be placed in the park. Like the first event, we hope to have 6 available cache types in the park.

WHY: 1) To inform the public about Geocaching through the city of Auburn Hills2) There will be a Boy Scout Merit Badge Counselor present who will be able to help Scouts achieve their Geocaching Merit Badges. 3) To find a few caches 4) To be with friends and have fun!

WHEN: The Geocaching 101 session will be from 10:00am-11:00am. New caches will be handed out at 11:00am.

-POTLUCK- Based on First letter of your Last name-

A – E Deserts

F – J Paper Products – plates / napkins / forks / spoons / knives (bring one type for 50 people)

K - O Side Dishes / Salads

P - T Pretzels / Chips & Dip

U – Z Beverages – pop / hot coco / cider / juice box (for kids) etc.

(If someone would like to sign-up for hot dogs and someone else for buns, please let me know!)

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE include in your 'Will Attend' what you plan on bringing. This will avoid having strictly all desserts like we had at the first event.

We will have the fire pit as well, in case it's really cold!

The event will be held snow or shine! Please 'Watch' the event to be informed of any updates!

The City Of Auburn Hills is asking for a donation of a 1lb Bag of Black Oil Sunflower Bird Seed per car. (Usually the lodge is rented out at a fee, this is our way of saying thank you).
